More Info About Nick
I'm very excited to work with Cincinnati’s ESPN 1360 covering high school sports.
Thanks for checking out my page! I have worked in radio for 7 years, covering college, professional, and high school athletics. Over on 1530 Homer, I host a college basketball show called the Full Court Press. When Lance, Mo, or Alan Cutler go on vacation, you can often hear me filling in for them as well.
I started my career at Miami University, where I served as the Sports Director at WMSR Radio in Oxford – covering RedHawks Football, Hockey, Basketball, and Baseball.
My broadcast experience also includes a two-year stint with the Dayton Dragons – the Cincinnati Reds Class “A” Affiliate – where I called play-by-play action on 1410 ESPN Radio. A bunch of the current Reds were just getting there start when I was there.
I was also the play-by-play voice for the Toledo Storm Hockey Club (ECHL), the “AA” affiliate of the NHL’s Detroit Red Wings during the 2006-07 season. Most recently, I called play-by-play for the "thrilling" Cincinnati Jungle Kats in Arena Football 2.
I also update my own personal blog page, CinciSportsBlog.com if you want to check it out!
When I'm not on-the-air, I produce various programs on ClearChannel's AM Radio Stations: 700 WLW, 1530 HOMER - The Sports Animal, and 55KRC - THE Talk Station....I know, I know...really exciting right?
I have lived here in Cincinnati my whole life and graduated from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. *************************
Colerain feds off Sycamore Enquirer.com Colerain fans swarmed onto the field after yet another big football win tonight, and Cardinals senior defensive back Nick Priessman drew the biggest crowd. The Cardinals had just beaten underdog Sycamore 35-14 in a closer-than-it-looks game at Colerain, and a family member happily rushed up to Priessman with a question: “How big did your eyes get when you saw that ball coming?” The answer: “Very.”
Priessman picked off a pass and took it 36 yards to the house with 1:23 left in the third quarter, which gave Colerain a 28-14 lead and monstrous momentum. The game was tied 14-14 just moments before, and Colerain fans were nervously pondering the possibility of the Cardinals’ first home loss since 1999.

Trinity's defense puts another dent in St. Xavier's national ranking Enquirer.com Trinity used some good old-fashioned defense to beat Cincinnati St. Xavier 17-6 in front of approximately 12,500 fans at Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium. The Bombers came into the game ranked No. 20 in USA Today’s Super 25 high school football poll. On a week that many of Trinity’s coaches and players were without electricity and other modern conveniences, due to Sunday’s wild windstorm, the Shamrocks turned back the clock on the football field last night.

Hendrix leads Moeller offense Community Press - Mark Chalifoux Andrew Hendrix started playing football at age 6 as a center. Toward the end of his first season, he recovered a fumble and ran it into the end zone. From that point on he was always a quarterback and now, as a junior at Moeller high school, he's taken over the Moeller offense as the starting quarterback for Moeller.

Friday football games on Enquirer.com St. Xavier’s football game Friday at Louisville Trinity (Ky.) has been moved to Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium in Louisville, because of power outages at Trinity. Kickoff will be 7:30 p.m. Friday. St. Xavier coach Steve Specht said jokingly that he had his own alternative site in mind. “I told them they’d be more than welcome to come up here and play at our stadium,” Specht said. St. Xavier is 3-1 and Trinity is 2-0 this season. St. Xavier is the reigning Ohio Division I champion and Trinity has won three consecutive Kentucky big-school titles.
Most other Greater Cincinnati weekend football games apparently will go on as planned. With power still being restored after Sunday’s wind storm, most local administrators and coaches are proceeding with their scheduled sports events.
At Colerain, athletic director Dan Bolden said Friday’s home football game vs. Sycamore is on.
While the Colerain school building remained dark as of Wednesday afternoon, the football stadium does have power.
“I’m pretty sure they’re on two different circuits, which is why one is on and the other is still off,” Bolden said. Bolden said Colerain hopes to be back in school Thursday.
A survey of numerous area league commissioners, coaches and administrators showed no postponements or cancellations of football games for now.

CCD, Summit prepare for annual rivalry Enquirer.com - Mark Chalifoux The Cincinnati Country Day Indians will be ready for the big showdown with rival Summit Country Day Friday, Sept. 26. "It's our biggest game of the year," CCD head coach Tim Dunn said. "Our guys are usually ready to play that game. It's a friendly rivalry and it's usually our biggest game in every sport." Junior running back Max Dietz has been a key playmaker as he lead the team in tackles, interceptions, yards and also kicks extra points.
