The news that the Reds are bringing back Dusty Baker is being met with carefully thought-out, measured responses. While this is a pretty divisive issue, and while there are legit arguments being made both in favor of firing Dusty as well as keeping him, at least no one is overreacting...
From the Reds Twitter page....
And from the team's Facebook page....

The minute a team makes key decisions because they're concerned about the fringe of the fan base that vows to never go to games again if they don't get their way is the minute I vow to never go to games again.
Here's what I'm looking for today: A big picture assessment of the decision to retain Dusty. Don't make it about one move in one game, think larger in scale. I get that the move isn't exactly popular, but give me sound reasons why the Reds should move on from their most successful manager in two decades.
We'll start at 3:04 on ESPN1530.

We want the Reds to be like the Cardinals, right? Well, are they doing that?
