I'm an NFL Films junkie, from NFL Films Presents, to their videos that always accompanied a subscription to Sports Illustrated I've watched my Crunch Course and NFL Films Presents: Football Follies VHS tapes I got in 1986 about 5,000 times each), to Hard Knocks, NFL Films' Greatest Moments, to the random half-hour long specials that ESPN2 used to put on at random times in the middle of the afternoon and late at night.
Those shows put faces to the game, and showed us the lighter side of the game, which you'll see below.
Ed Sabol might have been NFL Films founder, and John Facenda and the great Harry Kalas its signature voices, but the guy who took their work to the next level was Steve Sabol.
Few things were as a big a part of my childhood as NFL Films, and with the exception of 1988 Bengals, nothing made me the football fan I am today like NFL Films did.
We've got a loaded show today on ESPN1530.
