April Fool's
I gave up doing an April Fool's joke after this one in 1998.
The reaction was so intense, wide spread and vocal I decided I could not ever top it.
Fans were calling, local and tri-state TV stations were calling, the universities were calling, former and current players were calling. The toughest part was playing it straight for almost three hours. I'll never forget Jeff Piecoro calling in, pretending to be on the UK campus in Lexington. Co-worker Mike Lindeman called in and as he was talking on the air pretended the UC AD Bob Goin had just walked past him and given him a thumbs up. Classic.

Final Four is nameless, shameless
Orlando Sentnel
"I don't understand," Van Gundy says. "Why can't a kid go to NBA right out of high school if that's what he wants to do? If a kid is 18 years old, why doesn't he have the right to go earn a living? If he can get a job at Publix, why can't he get a job in our league if he's good enough? We're forcing guys to go to college who have absolutely no interest or intention of getting a degree."
Van Gundy then adds sarcastically: "I don't know — I have this antiquated notion that college should be about education."

Congrats

RHP Nathan Jones (Pendleton County High/NKU) made the Chicago White Sox opening day roster. He earned the last bullpen spot. He was a 5th round pick out of NKU in 2007. He pitched at AA Birmingham last season.

McCoy: Cardinals still the team to beat
NL Central up for grabs
Bernie Miklasz, St Louis Post Dispatch
The NL Central division can become just about anybody's winning ticket. This race should be wide open. The Cardinals may have a few issues, but that also applies to their rivals.
With spring training winding down, here's a quick look at how the Cardinals' division rivals are shaping up for the start of the season:

Decision coming

I have met with representatives, officials and.....my cardiologist.
I expect to make a decision soon on my one game contract offer from the Cincinnati Commandos. Of course I met with Kelly first.
