Arroyo: My life as a shower singer
ESPN
"Who knows where this will go after baseball, but for now, I’m stockpiling my demos. Once I have 20 or 30 songs that I feel decent about, I’ll probably sit down with a studio and see what kind of record I can conjure up. Maybe I could put it out under a pseudonym so I wouldn’t be criticized or stereotyped as a ballplayer trying to do music. But to have a record I’m happy with and to be able to sit on stage and rip off 15 songs that were mine would be very satisfying."

Comparing Andy Dalton to Palmer reveals Cincinnati coup
Paul Dehner, CBS Sports
They never played together, but in Cincinnati, they will forever be compared. The great news for Marvin Lewis, President Mike Brown and the entire Bengals organization is not only do Dalton's numbers compare favorably with Palmer's current output in Oakland, they live in the same conversation as his prime Pro Bowl years in Cincinnati.

6 questions with Carson Palmer
CBS Sports
Will it be strange to see Hue across the field?

"Yeah, I think so. I don't know. You can try to guess or assume how something is going to feel. But to see him over there, I'm not sure if he's on the field or up in the box, but it will be good to see him once again. ... Hue and I have talked a number of times since everything went down last year. I'm looking forward to seeing him."
Are you curious to see the fans' reaction?

"I have a pretty good feeling how that's going to go. We'll wait and see Sunday at 1."

OSU bowl ban leaves fans wondering what if?
Columbus Dispatch
Ohio State is 11-0 under Meyer. If the Buckeyes had their bowl ban out of the way last season, there would be much more left after Michigan week — there would be the Big Ten title game and, possibly, a shot at another national title. Think of the ramifications for the coaches and players. Think of the millions of dollars lost to a university with no more parking garages to sell.

Louisville programs deserve more respect
WDRB
The future of the Big East is as bright as the future of the pay phone. Louisville administrators know that. Louisville coaches know that. Louisville fans know that.
This is one of the best college sports towns in America. It's the best college basketball town in the country. Louisville is one of the most ambitious college football programs in the nation. There are plenty of programs that would love to have all the assets Louisville has parked on South Floyd Street.
Doesn't matter. Think about how absurd that sounds. But it doesn't matter.
