File this one under any win is a good win...1-1 sure beats 0-2
Defense has issues. Secondar is a mess. Injuries killing depth.
Loved the big plays from offense.
Andy held too long on couple sacks, but extended plays for BIG plays.
Back to back drives: 1st down penalties killed--Smith 1st and 10 false start=FG
Gresh 1st and 10 hold. Later Binns hold on 2&1=punt.
Boling nice block to spring BJGE 19 yd
Binns great separation on 20yd catch/run
Redzone TD to Green
44 yd TD Tate
Can't believe Binns went back in game after hit
WRs big yards after catch
Hawkins TD was video game like. +blocks Leonard/Green
Gresh HUGE 3rd & 7 catch led to FG 3:40 left
Allowed 430, 439 in 1st two weeks?
DL takes another hit with Anderson
Pressure? Weedend was tough, strong
Richardson is a load. But the miss tackles on TD were silly (Leon/Rey/Clements/?)
Rey had hands full with Alex Mack
Rey whiffed on Richardson
Leon looks so slow
Loved Peko wrapping up TR and throwing his shoe
Congrats Vinny Rey on 1st sack
Newman FF fumble/MJ FR
Burfict 3 tackles
Adam Jones 1st PR TD in six years
Heck of overall effort by a lot of guys doing double duty
Cribbs was neutralized for most of day
Iloka 2 tackles
Hawkins downed punt at 5
Redskins thoughts (31-28 loss to Rams)
Blew 15 point lead.
RG3 will be a handful: 2 rush TD, 1 pass TD vs Rams. 82 yd rush on scrambles and designed plays. He took a beating. Can he keep taking it?
Redskins had punt blocked for TD, 2 punt blocked this year. 5 FG blocked '11.
Big injuries to LB Orakpo and DE Carriker
Offense balanced: 176 rushing. 197 passing
WR Josh Morgan's unsportsmanlike conduct penalty turned potential game tying 47yd FG into 62yd miss to end game.
Defense allowed 7 yds per play, 157 rushing.
Secondary really suspect....320 passing by Bradford...Danny Amendola caught 15 of 16 thrown his way for 160.

Reds flip-flop rotation
Did Tom Coughlin have reason to be upset?
The Giants led the Buccaneers 41-34 in the final seconds. Eli Manning took a knee on the final snap. The Bucs pressured the snap. Giants coach Tom Coughlin took exception to the play. First year Tampa coach Greg Sciano said his team will play until the final snap.
AP: Coughlin confronts Schiano
Dan Wetzel, Yahoo: Schiano sets toone for Bucs
CBS Sports: "We play clean, hard football until they tell us the game is over," Schiano said. Except the game WAS over. That's what taking a knee means. When someone takes a knee on you, they're not doing it to taunt you into diving over the line and trying to tackle their quarterback. They're ending the game in a gentlemanly fashion intended to prevent injury. What Schiano did is the equivalent of playing Madden in real life: he might as well have ordered his players to keep jumping in the neutral zone before Eli Manning snapped the ball.
Coughlin had every right to be cheesed at Schiano. This isn't the Big East anymore, Toto.
Casey had a cross country meet on Saturday. He's running for Summit View Middle School. It's his first year running cross country. The Covington Catholic Invitational was held at Devou Park. I'd guess the last cross country meet I was at was around 1991, while doing a feature story on a runner for WSBT-TV in South Bend. What a scene Saturday. I'd guess there were maybe 10 teams. The atmosphere was pretty cool. The fan support was amazing. Team tents everywhere. Fans lining the ropes and cheering. The more I'm around the sport the more I wish I'd run cross country.
Casey getting ready for the meet.
After the race. What a view from Drees Pavilion in Devou Park.
After the race
Nothing better than capping off the meet with a Jack Bauer coffee and egg sandwich at Reality Tuesday.

I am a big fan and enjoy your show and blog. I know you like cool stories, we had ours yesterday.
Take my son to the game and we are sitting in the south endzone. As we are walking down to our seats before the game, we see Bruce Gradkowski give a ball to a middle aged gentleman who starts walking up the aisle. This random man hands my son the ball and says this is from Bruce Gradkowski.I would like to say thank you to the gentleman who made my son’s day and to Bruce Gradkowski.
We will remember this day forever.
