The Bengals today traded LB Keith Rivers to the New York Giants, acquiring the Giants’ fifth-round selection in this year’s draft, scheduled April 26-28.

            The Bengals now have three fifth-round selections -- their original pick at No. 156 overall, a pick from New England at 166 and the Giants’ pick at 167. Cincinnati also has multiple selections in the first round, at Nos. 17 and 21.

            Rivers is a fifth-year NFL player in 2012. He did not play last season, due to rehab from offseason wrist surgery. From 2008-10, he played in 35 Bengals games with 33 starts, logging 246 tackles, two sacks and two interceptions.
