The Bengals today signed long snapper Clark Harris and safety Jeromy Miles, who both were with Cincinnati last season.
Harris (6-5, 252; Rutgers) is a fourth-year NFL player in 2012. He had become a restricted free agent on March 13. Since joining the Bengals during the 2009 season he has played in every game and has made 395 snaps on punts and place kicks with no unplayable deliveries. Last season he also had three special teams tackles.
Miles (6-2, 210) is a third-year player. His contract had expired on March 13, and the Bengals had secured his exclusive NFL rights for 2012 through a tender offer. Miles led Cincinnati’s special teams in tackles (15) last season, and his overall performance on coverage and return units earned him the coaching staff’s designation as Cincinnati’s “special teamer” on last season’s fan ballot for the Pro Bowl.
