Reds take brooms to Sox, 11-4

Quick Cap: The Reds did exactly what they should have done this weekend in Chicago, complete a three game sweep of the woeful White Sox (2-13).
The Red outscored the White Sox 27-5 in the series. 

Will Benson reached base a career high five times. Jake Fraley reached base four times, scoring three times. Nick Martini drove in three. CES plated four. Graham Ashcraft struck out eight in pitching two outs into the 6th. The Reds are now 9-6 on the season.

Sweep by scores of 11-1, 5-0 and 11-4. 

Sunday offense: 11 R, 11 H, 8 BB, 6 SB. 

Benson: 1B, 4 BB, R, SB. Made a really nice, long running/sliding catch in CF.  

CES 2 H, 4 RBI. 422-ft 2-R HR. 1st HR since game-winner March 31.

Martini, 3 H, 2B, HR, 3 RBI. 1st career HR vs a lefty (11)…career .131 vs LHP. 

Jeimer Candelario 2 H, 2 RBI, R. 

Fraley 2 H, 2 BB, 3 SB, 3 R. Had not walked in his first 32 plate appearance. (Per Bally’s: 1st Reds w/ 3 SB, 3 SB since Billy Hamilton, 2016). 

Elly’s on base streak ended at 19 games (0 for 5). 

SB: Fraley 3 (T-career best), Benson 2 (1st multi SB game career), Steer

Graham Ashcraft: 5.2 IN, 5 H, 1 ER, 2 BB, 8 K, 104 pitches/66 strikes. 

How they scored:
